Several years have passed since my first experience hiring Nasir & Associates, LLC to furnish steel post materials for a local VDOT highway project in Northern Virginia. At the time, Nasir was a fairly new firm, and they were outsourcing the fabrication component of the product. Our experience was a positive one, and I decided that if given the opportunity on future projects, I would seek their assistance again.

That opportunity presented itself when our firm became the low bidder in the spring of 2021 for the 495 NEXT project in Northern Virginia, and I was assigned to manage all retaining and sound wall operations for the project. I solicited pricing from the usual vendors but also included Nasir & Associates—and I was not disappointed. They were very responsive and professional, and their rates were competitive. We were happy to learn that, along with their in-house engineering staff, they now have their own in-house fabrication shop, allowing them better control over providing a quality product in a more timely manner.

We contracted Nasir to furnish all of our galvanized steel posts and accessories for the combination retaining/sound wall work (up to 70 LF in length), as well as the galvanized steel base-plated posts and accessories for our lightweight sound walls for the project. In addition, our bridge team also contracted them to fabricate and furnish some specialty expansion dams for our bridges on the project. The quality of each of their products has met all project requirements without issue.

Nasir & Associates, LLC has once again proven to be very responsive, reliable, and professional on every level. In addition, the fact that they are a current DBE firm has helped our company meet a much-needed requirement for this project.
